The adventure Isle of the Dreaded Accursed has been on my radar for a while, and I was lucky enough to be sent a review copy recently. Written by JVC Parry, Mr. Tarrasque and WallyDM, with a license to showcase the monsters of the Dreaded Accursed bestiary by Nord Games – all names with which I am extremely familiar – I felt confident it would prove a story well worth diving into. Spoiler alert: I was right.

Set sail on a seafaring horror adventure…
Rather than write a dedicated blog post review however, I decided to take the opportunity to do something I’ve been putting off for way too long, and that’s update my list of favourite 5th edition adventures.
It’s a page that has been in its bare bones infancy for far too long; but I’m pleased to say is now a fully fleshed resource, with close to 20 great adventure recommendations, from WOTC, the DMs Guild, and third party publishers as well.
I’ve actually got several more exciting titles I want to add there, and – time permitting – I would also like to add some classic D&D adventure modules from day of yore. I’ve got Red Hand of Doom and Night’s Dark Terror sitting on my desk!
Given that not all of my regular readers will be aware of this list of adventures (as it’s not technically a ‘post’, it has never been sent to subscribers!), today’s post is an invitation to go take a look… and, of course, be sure to check out my review of the Isle of the Dreaded Accursed while you’re there.
That’s it for now!
I’ll be back soon with plenty of heist related material, a few thoughts on spell slots and yet another post about exhaustion (I swear, this time I’ve cracked it!).

Having recently finished running Red Hand of Doom, let me just say you’re in for a treat! There’s a reason it’s in most lists of the best adventures across all editions.
